An interview with Dr Alya Reeve, Professor of Psychiatry, Neurology, and Pediatrics at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque. The interview relates to her presentation, “Meeting the Challenges of Treating People with TBI or ID/DD: Strategies for Assessment, Management, and Psychopharmacology” presented at the US Psych Congress of 2012 in San Diego.
In this audio interview, she discusses some highlights from the presentation, as well as tips for assessing and treating the patient with signs of traumatic injury (TBI), or intellectual or developmental disability. She speaks about the special considerations necessary in assessing and treating these patients.
